New Building Ahoy!

So the sun came out this week and summer now seems to have begun. Except that we’re half way through July and we’re suddenly a month or less from having access to the new building and all of the work that needs to happen. Before that all gets started we need to do shopping and finish our planning ahead of that. Exciting!
Carl is away this week and so we’ll do as little desktop maintenance as we can, pending his return. We have three immediate projects that can be done:
- relamp the one light in the gym that blew just before the service last Sunday;
- look at three or so computers that we picked with for nothing to see if they work or can be made to work for use in the new building.
- clean up the Traditional Service equipment cabinet so that it’s usable again. Cords need to be coiled, junk thrown out …
In addition, we can look over the library management software that should arrive Thursday in the mail and could even prep a machine for the library if the spirit leads us. And of course there will be donuts and coffee, although I’m drawing the line at a dozen!
