While we had success last week, we’ve some tasks left over to look after tonight. We need to test out the duplicator client software in preparation for ThirdThursday (Desktop maintenance night) next week. We managed to rebuild one of the two power supplies last week and Kevin has accepted the challenge to repeat that task for the remaining supply.
As a multi-week task we need to test the network segments to determine that we’re wired correctly since we’re seeing transit rates signficantly below what they should be and we had some pair ordering issues surface several weeks ago.
Lastly there’s fishing the phone wire drop in anticipation of moving the ADSL internet connection to the server room, and moving the upstairsPrinter out of the server room kitchenette to the children’s check-in station.
I’ll be in with the coffee and donuts on by 8:30.
