Flashing Mooninites Signs Great Publicity Stunt? Or insensentive bomb scare?
I needed to express my opinion on the matter of the Flashing Mooninite signs which shut Boston down the other day. I do admit, I think the 2 men who are responsible for this publicy stunt were very insensetive to the post 9/11 world by this act. However, who caused the scare here, the 2 men? or the media? An interesting fact here is that these signs have been all over Boston for about 2 weeks now. Fox News over reacted, which in turn caused CNN to over react showinig minute by minute coverage of this potential terrorist plot. Both FOX and CNN owe the residents of Boston an appology for reporting speculation, not facts about this incident. The 2 guys responsible for this basically laughed at the media when asked why they did it. Perhaps the government and police should watch some of these shows that many of us younger generation watch on tv or the internet. Turner broadcasting took responsibility for this hoax and appologized to the world. I believe that this incident or “bomb scare” only shows how paranoid the media is, no matter if they are left OR right leaning. These news corps are blood thirsty, and they will do anything to bring potential terror threats to your living room.
