I could do Everest…totally.

So today I broke personal records of epic proportions. Crabbe Mountain hosted a Mt. Everest Ski and Snowboard Challenge to raise funds for the Ski Patrol. I thought about this for a day because the flyer stated that anyone competing would have to ski 34 runs which is equivalent to Everest’s 29,029ft summit. A friend told me that he was interested in attempting this test of endurance so I hitched a ride with him at 7:45am.

Upon arrival, we noticed that few cars populated the desolate lot. This was a good sign. Less people, less lineups. We registered for the event, grabbed a beanie and made our first decent. The -26 C temperature must of kept the crowds sitting at home watching ridiculous videos on funnyordie.com while i nearly froze my bollocks off.

9:20 am - We hit the first run

12:00ish pm - break 1, 15 runs complete

3;45 pm - break 2, 28ish runs complete

4:50 pm - 34 runs complete, I pump my arm twice.
