Ethan Haas / Van Mantra buzz = table top game (wa wa)
So there you have it… all this buzz about Ethan Haas, Van Mantra, Cloverfields, J.J. Abrams, and the Mezin source…all for a tabletop RPG. The big event that happened yesterday was the launch of this website: http://www.alphaomegathegame.com . Alpha Omega is a tabletop role playing game a.k.a Dungeons and Dragons. Obviously this will not resemble D&D gameplay however it is far from what I had hoped to see. Many people who were sucked into the buzz claimed that there HAD to be some sort of connection to J.J. Abram’s new film Cloverfield. I fell victim to this ignoring the fact that most people had accepted that the buzz was promoting a tabletop RPG indeed. Oh well, perhaps I will buy this game and give it a shot…but then again…who the funk plays table top role playing games anymore??? (yes i know millions of people do, but i don’t know too many).
I think Mindstorm should send Adam a free game for all his troubles.
