Bill O’Reilly and FOX Attacks bloggers!!!

This is something I predicted about a year ago. New Media and the blogosphere were doomed from the beginning by “traditional media” or “old media” and conservative talking heads. Bill O’Reily and Rupert Murdoch’s FOX Corp are leading the conservative charge in the war against the blogosphere. It’s a shame for any politically driven media organizations to be afraid of free speech which is found on some of the more popular left wing blog sites such as Daily Kos . Bill O has decided to preach his moral ethics upon Jet Blue’s “sponsorship of hate” on the Daily Kos website, after comparing the writers on the popular blog to Nazi’s and the KKK. This led to the confrontation of CEO, Dave Neeleman of Jetblue by a swarm of FOX News “reporters” in front of his apartment as he was leaving to go to work. (see the vid here)
Jetblue decided to cancel its sponsorship of the Daily Kos because of Bill O’Reilly’s bullying techniques.
Bill O changed his attack strategy towards the Daily Kos following the decision of Jetblue to pull sponsorship from the website. The FOX mouthpiece continued bombarding the left website by analyzing the content on the site, and brought up how many people leave hateful comments about the Bush admin. , the pope, and conservatives. Now, I’ve been to many blogs and forums where ignorant 14 year old kids enjoy typing outrageous claims, just to get people upset, but for Bill O to use that as a weapon against free speech is pathetic.
Bill O’Reilly and FOX are really beginning to create a stir against the people. Remember, people who blog are probably THE most patriotic people you will find, whether they blog for the left, or for the right, they are getting their message out to people and coming together to try to bring social change. Now that the war has begun, bloggers are taking the time to analyze O’Reilly’s website and has found many hateful statements by his fans (which by the way, you must pay $5 via credit card to be privileged to do so). A rather brave man decided to call the Secret Service to complain about this comment left by Bill O’s supporter. Now, the joke is on Bill O…apparently the Secret Service is investigating the death threat to Hillary Clinton which was the comment of interest.
I am a firm believer on free speech, but there are times when people go too far (see Don Imus) and should at least apologize for inaccurate and hateful comments. FOX News Corp and Bill O have an agenda of smearing common free speech on the liberal “far left” blog sites as they are clearly afraid of being scrutinized for their inaccurate and hateful remarks which they feel are “fair and balanced” “”"REPORTING”"”. It is time for the people to step up and fight Bill O back! www.foxattacks.com has decided to open up a forum which gives the contact info for FOX News’s advertising sponsors. The aim here is to get people to sign up to call and email all of Bill O’s supporters just to show them some of the outrageous remarks the talking head pukes out on a daily basis. I don’t think I will partake in this sabotage, but i think it is really interesting how the blogosphere is responding to the meat head.
